Communication and Legislative Assistant

As the Communication and Legislative Assistant at the Insurance Council of New Jersey, Summer is responsible for assembling the daily newsletter, coordinating all communication outlets to ICNJ members, as well as assisting legislative and insurance-related research projects.

Summer attended Ocean County College and later, Monmouth University, where she studied Political Science and Philosophy. While attending college, Summer worked on many political campaigns from the municipal to the congressional levels. Most recently, Summer served simultaneously as the Deputy Director of the Ocean County Democrats and Campaign Manager for the county’s Democratic County Commissioner candidate. In these roles, Summer was responsible for the communications, data analysis, policy research, and event planning of both the county party and her candidate.
