Gary La Spisa, II

Senior Vice President

Gary joined ICNJ as Vice President in August 2019. He brings over ten years of experience in the fields of legislative affairs, trade association representation, and campaign & PAC management.

La Spisa came to the ICNJ from the New Jersey Apartment Association where he was Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs. Before that, Gary was the Director of Public Affairs for the New Jersey Food Council. Prior to his work in the private sector, Gary served as Legislative Director for Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco and Campaign Coordinator for Congressman Rodney P. Frelinghuysen through two elections.

In 2023, Gary graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s of Science in Risk Management and Risk Analytics from the Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science at St. John’s University. He graduated from Seton Hall University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s in Political Science. During his senior year at Seton Hall, Gary served as State Chairman of the New Jersey College Republican Committee and on the College Republican National Committee.

Gary lives in Bridgewater Township with his wife Nicole and their two children. He serves on the Bridgewater Zoning Board of Adjustment and previously served on the township’s Recreation Advisory Committee and on the Somerset County Open Space Advisory Committee.
